Cadillacs, Cunninghams and Challengers
/Let’s start with one very large and distinguished Cadillac project. The Mission: Dave’s daughter Natasha was soon to go to the prom and a vintage car guy just can’t let any limo suffice.
Dave found this 1961 75 series Cadillac Fleetwood limousine that needed some work & … it could not be black!! Dave had us run through the mechanicals, refinish that large black body in the period correct OEM silver, tidy up some chrome and retrim the rear compartment. Yep, the prom went perfectly and this solid bit of American iron started its 2nd or 3rd limo life.
A 1953 Cunningham C3 Vignale Cabriolet Challenge. Invited to the 2015 Boston Cup Concours d’Elegance on Boston Commons, this superb Cunningham had a mishap when an object heavy and sharp impacted its hood. The ARI Crew had but a couple of days to repair-match-tint-cure-re-tint and get a tricky metallic red “spot-on” then polished and delivered to downtown Boston. The result? “Best of Show, American” for owner Dennis Nicotra.
This is THE ONE TO HAVE: 1970 Dodge Challenger RT convertible with the build sheet that says it all: 440 Six Pack & 4-speed manual. Tom had owned and enjoyed it for years…children were going to college and it was time to tidy things up a bit and find a new curator for this marvelous bit of American muscle. Repaired, re-sprayed and this great Challenger is sold! Kids ??... off to college at least in part on account of some American Iron!
