The 1988 Saab 900 Turbo "Springtime in Sweden" Edition is a rare and collectible version of the iconic Saab 900 Turbo. Produced in a limited run of just 288 units, one for each Saab dealer in the United States, this special edition was created to celebrate Saab’s Swedish heritage and appeal to enthusiasts with a unique combination of features. It was offered exclusively in black, complemented by a factory body kit and aero wheels. The interior featured luxurious buffalo grey leather upholstery, providing a premium driving experience.
Powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four paired with a three-speed automatic transaxle, the car is also equipped with a black convertible soft top, 15″ three-spoke wheels, fog lights, front and rear spoilers, a cassette stereo, a graphic equalizer, air conditioning, power windows, and heated front bucket seats. The suspension was sport-tuned, featuring Saab’s innovative double-wishbone front suspension and rear axle link setup, making it both agile and comfortable.
As one of only 288 Springtime in Sweden Editions produced, and of those, one of only 4 equipped with an automatic transmission… Not only is this most likely the lowest mileage SiS edition left, but from our understanding, potentially the lowest mileage 900 in the world. Surely, there will not be a better blue chip example for the most elite Saab enthusiast.
