2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S
In 2011 Porsche did something they had only done twice before: they unveiled a 911 based on an entirely new platform. The 991 was slightly larger than the outgoing 997 but, thanks to the implementation of aluminum and composite materials, weighed as little as 3,042 lbs. The 3.8-liter flat-6 engine in the Carrera S produces 395 horsepower, 50 more than the 3.4-liter in the base Carrera, achieving a 0-62 mph time of just 4.1 seconds with the Sport Chrono pack. The higher power output, in conjunction with the lighter curb weight and wider track width, created a 911 that is truly a step above the rest.
This 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S is finished in Basalt Black Metallic over a Platinum Grey leather interior; a beautiful combination plays towards the advantages of the new body style, giving it a sleek, athletic, and aggressive look. Optional 20-inch Porsche Sport Design wheels are finished in black to match the Shadowline trim and badges, all factory equipped. Driven just 35,000 miles since it left the showroom floor, this well-optioned 911 comes equipped with a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission, sport exhaust, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), 20-inch Sport Design wheels, Sport Chrono Package, and heated and ventilated 18-way adaptive seats. This 911 strikes the perfect balance between performance comfort, proving to be an ideal car for nearly every situation.
