The SL Class has long been the flagship roadster offering from Mercedes Benz. From the introduction of the iconic 300SL, the SL name has been a testbed for advanced technologies and high-performance engines. The R230 chassis, introduced in 2001, was a great leap forward in comfort, power, and technology.
