1988 BMW 635CSi
The E24 chassis, the first of the 6 Series, was BMW's followup to the iconic E9. The new grand tourer design initially was based on the outgoing E9 body but with increased hight for easier exit and entry, but Bob Lutz refused the proposal in favor of a completely new design. The shark-nose design of the first generation 6 Series became an instantly recognizable style queue that was quickly associated with BMW. The 635CSi received three major updates, including the change from a 3.0L engine to an eventual 3.4L version of the M30 engine with an optimized output of 208 horsepower. This 1988 BMW 635CSi, an extremely well-optioned example of the E24, is finished in Schwarz black over a Lotus White leather interior. The odometer shows just 70,000 original miles. It is in excellent condition and has been maintained by Automotive Restorations, Inc. for the past five years.
