Extremely well documented back to brand new, including the original bill of sale (to Mr. Clifford Warren on August 3rd, 1968) and complete and detailed ownership history up to the present day. Remarkably, this great car has been in the same enthusiast’s collection for the last 27 years. Cherished by him and meticulously maintained to perfection, the car has been an invitee to numerous prestigious Concours events, and rightly so. Also in the file are detailed receipts of a no expense spared, top to bottom restoration performed by marque experts. That restoration was done in 1991 and still looks fresh to this day. It included: stripping the car to the bare tub and a concours level respray in Russo Corso; retrimmed interior in all leather; completely rebuilt engine, transmission and differential; sport springs, new shocks, new bushings and sway bars; rebuilt Weber carburetors, etc., etc. Suffice to say that no stone was unturned. Of note, the original 1750 engine was massaged during the rebuild with a Sperry Stage IV cylinder head, Autodelta cams and European headers. The result is a 150+ horsepower masterpiece with handling and performance that are simply fantastic. We can confidently say that we have never seen a Duetto with a documented ownership and service file like this one, nor one that drives as well. This great car could not possibly be duplicated for double the asking price.
