It is powered by a 1,250cc XPAG inline-four engine, producing around 54 horsepower in stock output, paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. The TC features a body-on-frame design with a wood-and-metal structure, semi-elliptic leaf spring suspension, and 19-inch wire wheels. This model helped popularize British sports cars in the U.S. after World War II, thanks to returning servicemen who admired its simple yet spirited performance.
This example retains its signature design elements, including the upright radiator grille, sweeping front fenders, and rear-mounted spare wheel. Recently serviced, this TC has been treated to a brake system refresh, new points and condenser, complete fluid refresh, oil change, valve adjustment, and more. The interior features a simple dashboard layout with Jaeger gauges, a large wooden steering wheel, and leather-upholstered seating. Unlike later MG models, the TC has right-hand drive and lacks front bumpers as standard. With its lightweight construction and open-top design, the MG TC delivers a classic pre-war driving feel, making it a popular choice among vintage car enthusiasts.
