1931 Ford Model A
The Model A was Ford's second massive market success after their Model T, a car credited with changing not only the automobile industry but the consumer transportation across the world. The Model A improved upon the Model T design and increased both usability and power to accommodate the needs of modern drivers. The new I4 engine doubled the power of the Model T and had a top speed of 65 miles per hour, which allowed for greater ease of travel over much greater distances. While visually similar to the Model T, the Ford Model A was more than an incremental step towards the modern automobile; it was a great leap forward.
This 1931 Ford Model A is an excellent example featuring a beautiful green over brown vinyl and a tan convertible top. The wheels have been painted to match with contrasting black fenders. The upholstery in both the cabin and the rear jump seat has been redone and looks brand new, with matched door cards and retention straps. The engine and running gear are in great shape and drive very nicely, even on today's roads. This is truly a piece of automotive history ready to be enjoyed by its next owner.
